- in folk medicine, the root of cat's grass is used as a means of helping to work the digestive system (to cope with constipation, colic, increase appetite and help the flow of bile);
- in the form of a decoction for enemas valerian is an effective means of controlling helminths.
You can make a tincture or decoction from the root of the plant yourself, and in pharmacies you can always find dosage forms of preparations made on the basis of valerian.
You can cook it, based on water or alcohol. In the first case, you need to take 1 tbsp. crushed root of cat grass and pour 1 tbsp. boiling water. This is best done in a thermos. In it and leave the root for the whole night to insist. The indication for the use of such a means is a strong excitability and anxiety. Drink the infusion should be 100 ml three times a day.

10 g of crushed rhizomes pour 300 ml of water and cook for 25 minutes, then leave to infuse and cool. The received quantity of liquid is calculated on 3-4 receptions. Apply such a decoction for spasms of the digestive organs, severe pain during menstruation and disorders during menopause.
