Unusual strawberry jam

Strawberry Jam Recipes

Strawberry- the berry is rather delicate, therefore, it should be treated accordingly. Enumerate the berries, remove all the substandard, rinse in a colander under running water, then leave to let the glass flow. After that, remove the tails. This is a basic training.

Strawberry jam "Freshness"

  • 2 kg of strawberries
  • 1.5 kg of sugar
  • 2 lemons
  • 25 fresh mint leaves
  • 25 basil leaves
  1. Prepared berries (washed, dried and without tails), place in a deep bowl and cover with sugar. Leave for a few hours to let the strawberries juice.
  2. Put the bowl on a moderate heat and boil for 5 minutes after boiling. Then add washed mint leaves and basil, cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Add chopped lemon pulp and pre-grated zest to jam. After that, cook the jam on low heat for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and leave for 8–10 hours.
  4. The second stage of cooking. Put the bowl on the fire, boil 5 minutes after boiling, then pour into sterilized jars and roll.

Strawberry jam "Ruby"

  • 1 kg of strawberry is smaller
  • 200 g rose petals
  • 1.2 kg of sugar
  • 100 ml of water
  • 0.5 tsp. citric acid
  1. Place the prepared strawberries in a bowl and add half of the sugar to it. Leave overnight.
  2. From the remaining sugar and water, prepare the syrup. Fill them with washed rose petals, add citric acid and bring to a boil.
  3. In the boiled syrup pour the berries and cook for 5 minutes on low heat. Then remove the dishes from the heat, let the jam cool completely.
  4. Bring to a boil again and cook for about 10 minutes. Hot pour the jam on the banks and seal the cork.

Strawberry jam with spices


  • 2 kg of strawberries
  • 2 kg of sugar
  • 2 star star
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  1. Prepared berries to put in a basin (a saucepan) fill up with sugar, leave for 3 hours. After this time, put the strawberries on the fire, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  2. Once the jam is cold, return it to a fire and bring to a boil.Then add the spices and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Extract the spices, hot jam over the sterilized jars and cork.

Strawberry jam with vodka

  • 3 kg of strawberries
  • 2 kg of sugar
  • 100 ml of vodka
  • 1 tsp citric acid
  1. Prepared berries lay in a basin in layers, sprinkling with vodka and sprinkling with sugar, the top layer is sugar. Leave in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. Put the pelvis on the fire, bring to a boil, add citric acid and remove from the heat. After 3 hours, put on the fire again and bring to a boil. Repeat the procedure 3 more times, and after the last boil, boil for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Spread the jam on sterilized jars and roll up.
