Making a textile passport cover
To make a textile cover for a passport, you will need a cardboard with a density of 200 g / m2, scrap paper, office paper of purple color, cotton fabric in a section and a flower, lace, decorations, PVA glue, glue stick, transparent polymer glue, scissors with curly and straight blades, tools for creasing, ruler.
From a cardboard, cut a rectangle 20 cm long and 13.5 cm wide.
To correctly calculate the size of a rectangle, measure the sides of the passport (in this case, 9x12.5 cm). Double the width and add to the resulting number 2 cm (9cm x 2 + 2 cm = 20 cm). To the height, add 1 cm (12.5 cm + 1 cm = 13.5 cm) Make a crease of the fold line, and two lines on either side of the fold line with an interval of 2 mm.
Iron the checkered fabric and cut out a rectangle with sides 2 cm larger than the sides of the cardboard rectangle. In this case, 22x15,5 cm.
Apply a thin layer of PVA glue to the cardboard. Glue the fabric to the cardboard, leaving allowances for the hem. Cut the corners of the fabric diagonally.
Fold and glue the top and bottom sides of the fabric coated with glue from PVA glue.
Then the right and left sides.
Watch out for so that at the corners the fabric did not overlap, but the joint went to the joint. Excess fabric can be cut with nail scissors.
From the outside, the angle must also be neat.
Cut out from checkered fabric a rectangle 13 cm long and 5 cm wide. Fold 1 cm and press inside the short sides of the rectangle.
Glue the fabric to the inside of the cover.
Cut out two 9x12.5 cm rectangles from scrap-booking paper.
To form pockets from the same Paper cut two rectangles 5x14.5 cm.
Cut two corners of long rectangles by 1 cm from edge of short and one long side lines. From them, retreat 2 mm and draw the parallels that are needed to create a three-dimensional pocket.
Fold and glue pockets to the fly-bys.
For gluing use a glue stick that unlike PVA does not jam the paper. Glue the paper blanks to the cover. Here already use PVA, but put it not on paper, but on cardboard stock.
The final stage - decoration of the cover. Cut a rectangle (a) from a floral fabric, fold it diagonally (b) and round the base of the resulting triangle (c). The result will be a petal.
Make 7 more petals. Putting one petal on another, form a flower, periodically flashing the middle.
To complete the flower, sew a round button and a button in the shape of a heart.
Stick glue doves to polymer glue and chain.
Then glue the lace21.jpg, ribbon and textile flower.
Cut out an oval from scrap paper with curly scissors. On the purple office paper print the inscription and cut it with curly scissors. Glue together two blanks.
Glue the inscription to the cover.
Textile passport cover do it yourself hands.
