Makeup trends that are best not to repeat

Sometimes not all fashion trends from Fashion Weeks need to be followed.

We all follow the trends and try to do everything possible to be fashionable. This applies not only clothing, but also hairstyles and makeup. However, some of the make-up options from Fashion Week seem beautiful, but a bit insane. How to understand what trends can be followed, and about which it is better to forget, told our experts.

Do not repeat

“First of all, it’s worth remembering that not every make-up from the catwalk can be considered a trend. In many ways, it is created to emphasize the overall atmosphere and the idea of the designer’s collection.

Often the images are more exaggerated, but they clearly highlight the main features that can be considered trends - color, shape, texture, ”commented Anna Merkusheva, national makeup artist MAKE UP FOR EVER in Russia.

You, probably, noticed that the makeup artists at the shows often experiment with eye makeup, and not only with shades of shadows or linings, but also with application techniques. That is why Anna advises to avoid shooters of strange and unusual forms.

“Not everyone will find the narrowly lowered lower contour of the eye, like at the shows of JW Anderson and Ports 1961, graphical flying arrows like that of Jill Stuart or an unusual shape suggested by Rochas. Such makeup can visually change the shape and size of the eyes, an inexperienced girl runs the risk of a mistake, ”says Anna Merkusheva.

“Smudged shadows, splashes of paint, abstractions, monochrome painted faces - this is something that should not be transferred to everyday life, even when gathering for a party. And at the Preen show, models were the epitome of sea sirens, shining with holographic glitter on the forehead imitating the sheen of fish scales. I doubt that if you come to work with such make-up, your image will be appreciated, ”adds Alexandra Churkina, top makeup artist Aldo Coppola Spring.

But at the same time, some, even crazy trends can be adapted to life. “For example, blue strokes of shadows on the Marni show can inspire you with a smoky deep blue color; you only need to change the pattern of the shadows to a more classic and suitable for your eyes shape,” advises Anna Merkusheva.

note

“This season, as in the previous ones, natural makeup is in trend, emphasizing a fresh and healthy skin. This is also indicated by beauty show-windows, on which more and more universal cosmetics appear, suitable for all types of appearance. Make-up can be inspired by watching the shows of Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, Alexander Wang, Chanel, Etro, where natural make-up has become a little brighter due to the bronze shades. Bottega Veneta, Cushnie Et Ochs, where natural makeup complemented with an emphasis on bright matte lips, ”says top makeup artist Alexandra Churkina.
