Pharmacological properties


"Indapamide" reduces the reabsorption of sodium and increases the excretion of magnesium, chlorine and potassium in the urine, which provides an increase in the volume of output fluid. Instructions for use


"Indapamid" should be taken 1 tablet a day, in the morning. With insufficient severity of therapeutic effect after 2 weeks on the recommendation of a doctor, the dosage can be increased to 2-3 tablets per day.Tablets are swallowed without chewing, washed down with water.

Contraindications


The drug is contraindicated in the presence of pronounced impairment of hepatic and renal functions, acute cerebrovascular accident, gout, hypokalemia and severe diabetes mellitus. The drug should not be taken in case of hypersensitivity to the components of Indapamide. The drug is contraindicated in children under 18 years of age, as well as pregnant women because of the possible occurrence of serious risks to the fetus.When taking "Indapamide" during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued, since the active ingredients of the drug penetrate into breast milk.

Side effects


When taking "Indapamid" most often there are side effects in the form of cramps and muscle pain. Allergic reactions on the skin, manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus are possible.
